As part of Showtime’s approaching merger with with Paramount+, a Season 2 of Dexter: New Blood has been discarded in favor of a possible prequel series “centered around a young version of the titular antihero.” TVLine was first to report, citing “multiple unnamed sources.”
Showtime has not provided an official comment, but the publication is reporting that a prequel is one of “a number of new iterations of Dexter” that the network is considering. That Dexter: New Blood has been cut short is something of a surprise, as the 10-episode revival averaged 8 million weekly viewers. Plus, showrunner Clyde Phillips was immediately on record in January 2022 when that season wrapped that he knew how the series would continue.

When Xbox Brazil’s official Twitter account posted a Father’s Day post that included Barrett from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, some fans speculated that Microsoft could be teasing an upcoming port. The post was swiftly deleted, however, and Microsoft has now clarified that Barrett’s inclusion was a mistake, not a hint.
The original post, as caught by TheGamer, featured a selection of notable video game dads from various Xbox titles–with one exception. An image of Barrett with his daughter Marlene was placed smack bang in the middle of the collage, and while the original Final Fantasy 7 is available on Xbox, the screenshot used was from the PC- and PlayStation-exclusive Remake.
The post was quickly taken down, but not before it was seen and screenshotted by plenty of people. Fans…

A year after it first arrived with the Xbox Series X|S consoles, Microsoft’s latest controller for its PC and console gaming division has proven to be one of its best so far. Updated in subtle and meaningful ways, the Xbox controller might not have the next-gen tech that Sony’s DualSense peripheral features, but it’s arguably a better device to have in your hands for long hours thanks to its superb ergonomic design.
The Xbox controller also lends itself well to customization, a physical feature that Microsoft–and at least one Smash Mouth fan– have pounced on with a number of brightly-colored alternative designs. WWE President Nick Khan has been talking with New Japan Pro-Wrestling over a working relationship, according to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The idea is that WWE will be the exclusive American company to crossover with Japan’s biggest wrestling promotion.
The report also includes that it would involve WWE sending talent and top stars to work in NJPW, but the report isn’t clear if NJPW would send its performers outside of Japan. If this colossal deal would go through, it has huge ramifications for NJPW’s relationship with American companies like Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling, and of course, AEW. It’s worth noting that former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, is also the current IWGP United States Champion.

In a detailed forum post explaining the server queue situation and what can be done about it, Blizzard states outright that while they are working on solutions (before later stating there is no technology or hardware solution to the problem), the real answer to the game’s current server woes is for players to take advantage of the free server transfers currently being offered to those most affected. The situation will likely only get worse in the weeks ahead, Blizzard notes, as the majority of the game’s new Wrath of the Lich King content won’t offi…

With The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom selling millions of copies and raking in awards, questions have been raised about what’s next for the Zelda series, and whether or not the future may include blasts from the past. Franchise head Eiji Aonuma is here to pump the brakes, as he says the traditional linear Zelda adventures of old won’t be coming back any time soon.
Speaking with IGN, Aonuma expresses his belief that those views come from a “grass is greener” mentality–where people have a tendency to want the things they don’t currently have. He continues by stating that the current Zelda format does have a “set” path; however, that path is chosen by the player rather than the designers.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has an abundance of immensely challenging shrines, but other shrines tend to lean more on creativity than overwhelming difficulty. Somewhere in the middle is Oshozan-u Shrine in the northern part of Hebra. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to knock this shrine out efficiently.
How to solve the Oshozan-u Shrine Puzzle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Flash forward to 2024, and there’s not just one old-school, “Classic” version of Blizzard’s enduring MMORPG to play, but four. “I’ve never seen a woman direct James Bond,” said Saldana at the Toronto International Film Festival via Variety. “I like The Equalizer. I watch crime shows, and, so, maybe in the future. I’ve always been drawn to heist themes. Heat is a film that I need to watch at least once a year and analyze it, and the way that Michael Mann just pairs it all together, the way that everybody performed it. So, I would love to start with an action-heist sort of thing.”

Speaking to Bloomberg, Spencer said the “play-to-earn” category specifically gives him pause. He admitted that this isn’t new in the gaming landscape–people have been gold-farming for years–but such mechanics being built directly into games represents a new step that requires a cautious outlook, he said.
“Play-to-earn specifically is something I am cautious about. It creates a worker force out of players for certain players to monetize. To be fair for us, in the games industry, this has existed for years and years. There have been gold farmers–people who literally just spend their time doing s…
